Reimbursement #
You pay the fees yourself. If applicable, you can then submit the invoice to your health insurance or funding provider for reimbursement:
- Private health insurance: Fees are usually fully reimbursed. However, there may be differences depending on your provider and the specific plan.
- Civil service and state subsidies (Beihilfe and Heilfürsorge): Fees are usually fully reimbursed.
- Public health insurance (gesetzliche Krankenversicherung): As I run a private practice, services cannot be billed directly to public health insurance. However, you can apply to your health insurance for cost reimbursement (Kostenerstattung). This requires a written recommendation for timely psychotherapy from a public practice (Kassenpraxis), combined with proof that you cannot find an available spot (within a reasonable distance and a wait time of no more than three months). If your application is approved, you can submit the invoices for reimbursement. Please contact your health insurance provider (Krankenkasse) for more detailed information.
